Why I still sketch on paper before opening Figma

Figma is fast. That's exactly the problem when you're still deciding what a layout should be. It's very easy to fill a blank artboard with a component you've used before, and call that a decision.

Paper doesn't offer that shortcut. A pencil sketch forces you to decide, roughly, what matters before you can decide how it looks. By the time I open Figma, I'm building a decision I've already made, not making one under the pressure of a polished canvas.
